Why Sleeping On Cooling Eucalyptus Sheets Is The Best Decision You'll Make

If you are reading this, you're probably wondering whether cooling eucalyptus sheets are worth it. Maybe you're wondering if they're as good as they're made out to be. Or whether sleeping on them is worth your hard-earned cash.

Cooling eucalyptus sheets are silky, temperature-regulating, and well worth the investment.

Let's start with the popular materials you're familiar with and believe you adore, or Big Polyester and Big Cotton, as we call them.

Discover why cooling eucalyptus sheets are worth every penny!

What makes polyester sheets so inexpensive?

"If anything sounds too good to be true, it generally is," as the old adage goes. Polyester is widely used and inexpensive. It's so common because it's so cheap.

Sure, choosing polyester bedding versus, say, eucalyptus sheets can save you money, but it will come at a considerable cost to the environment and the quality of your sleep.

Polyester is a synthetic fibre produced from fossil fuels. The extraction process may harm all living things, including humans, and discharge poisons and carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The harm, however, does not stop there. Washing polyester clothes and bedding releases billions of microplastics into the environment, according to new research. Microplastics can also be shed just by wearing polyester clothes.

Polyester does not biodegrade since it is composed of plastic. In reality, biodegradation of your polyester Garfield sweater might take hundreds of years. Sure, we can all agree that Mondays are the worst, but is this the type of legacy you want to leave?

What about cotton?

Cotton is the most popular fabric on the planet. This is primarily due to the fact that it has been present for thousands of years, giving it a significant head start and, as a result, a far larger market share than eucalyptus.

The major issue is the environmental cost, just as it is with polyester. The reality is, cotton requires a lot of water, pesticides, and land to be manufactured.

Organic cotton is preferable, although that isn't always the case.

So, why switch to soft, cool eucalyptus sheets?

We could have gone with a variety of textiles as our hero fabric, but after considering all of our alternatives (including the ones mentioned above), we decided on eucalyptus lyocell.

This is why.

  1. Eucalyptus is hypoallergenic, gentle, and temperature regulating.
  2. Eucalyptus is objectively softer. Thanks to a beautiful sateen weave and smooth, spherical threads, cooling eucalyptus sheets are softer than other textiles.
  3. Eucalyptus is a temperature-regulating plant. Cooling eucalyptus sheets maintain you in the perfect temperature zone all night, whether you sleep inside an erupting volcano or in a yurt on Pluto.
  4. Eucalyptus is a healthier option.
  5. Do you despise doing laundry? Eucalyptus is moisture-wicking, resulting in cleaner sheets over time, allowing it to last longer between washes.
  6. Eucalyptus is more environmentally friendly. Harvested and grown on non-arable land, and they don't need harsh chemicals like pesticides and insecticides. Our eucalyptus lyocell process uses 96% less water and 30% less energy than cotton, and it produces no waste.

When compared to cotton or polyester, why is eucalyptus more expensive?

What a great question.

Eucalyptus is manufactured from more expensive raw resources to grow and cultivate, whereas, polyester is inexpensive because humans manufacture it. Cotton, too, is manufactured from raw resources, but it is less expensive in part because there is so much of it. Cotton crops cover an area the size of Germany on a global scale.

The machinery required to manufacture Eucalyptus Lyocell is much more costly than that needed to manufacture cotton. Furthermore, turning eucalyptus into fabric is more expensive since it is a closed-loop system that is almost entirely (99.6%) recycled and reused. Believe it or not, it's faster and cheaper to employ a wasteful production technique.

Finally, compared to polyester and cotton, there are fewer facilities that can make Eucalyptus Lyocell. Because such industries have more extensive infrastructure, they can compete on cost and pricing more effectively.

Are cooling eucalyptus sheets really worth it?

You will have a blissful sleep every night with eucalyptus cooling sheets.

Eucalyptus is a relatively new addition to the textile industry. While it lacks the brand awareness of polyester and cotton's reputation, we believe it is on its way to conquering the globe.

The cooling eucalyptus sheet is a unique, environmentally friendly fabric that also outperforms standard textiles. Sure, it costs a bit extra, but isn't getting a better night's sleep and helping the environment worth it?
